WASHINGTON, DC -- February 13, 2002 -- A consumer safety net has been tossed into the online gaming arena anchored by Quixotic Solution's Honest Gaming Software. This groundbreaking technology will change the face of the burgeoning $1 billion online gambling industry by eliminating cheating, promoting fair play and allowing consumers to participate in a safe and regulated environment.

Recently, representatives from Quixotic Solutions Inc. (QSI) were on Capitol Hill to showcase this patented software application, that radically reduces or eliminates most forms of cheating.

"What we have actually done is taken something complicated and created a straightforward solution," explained QSI CEO Steven B. Davis. "We have created a way to shuffle cards over a network between a game server and a player even if they are thousands of miles apart. We combined that element with well-known security technologies, like digital signatures, which allows the creation of a new kind of electronic contract that can be used to protect the consumer. Players, regulators and game providers have the ability to monitor and independently reconstruct any game."

Consumer complaints about fraud and game manipulation are commonplace in the current online gaming environment because Internet gaming is unregulated. Player participation continues to grow, but studies have shown that most online gaming participants are very leery about the fairness of the games.

"We heard the complaints that there was no way to protect the consumer. In fact, many people have said that you could not even detect if a game was rigged or played unfairly on the Internet," said QSI President Cheryl Campbell. "With our Honest Gaming Software, it is possible to secure the game itself. Every event in that game, whether it's a roll of the dice, the play of a card or the spin of a wheel can be determined if it is fair and honestly played."

Davis added: "What our technology does is give the player the ability to independently verify, reconstruct and prove that the game was played fairly. And if there are any problems, consumers can take the reconstructed game to a legal or financial authority to seek proper restitution."

Last year several bills were introduced on The Hill calling for a ban on Internet gambling. One primary concern was the lack of regulatory and law enforcement oversight. QSI's Honest Gaming Software, which utilizes patented game protocol and various cryptographic functionalities, provides a framework for that type of oversight and can help address other legislative concerns including online gambling by children and gambling addictions. The technology creates a safe environment for consumers and promotes the development of a national policy where sensible regulation can be effectively implemented.

"We believe that this software forms a foundation that will set a national and international standard for online gaming regulation," Campbell said.

The founders of Quixotic Solutions Inc., has been working on their technology and patents to ensure game honesty and integrity since 1997. They continue to pursue partners in Government and Industry worldwide to license their technology for consumer protection of on-line games.
